Friday December 8, 8.00pm

London leading man Daniel Koek is ecstatic to be once again bringing his acclaimed West End Sessions, direct from the UK’s West End to the Gawler Civic Centre!

This time, featuring highly acclaimed cabaret artists Michaela Burger and Michael Griffiths, it’s a guaranteed night of powerful songs, candid stories and many laughs and some Xmas cheer!

Gawler Civic Centre Guided Tour - December

A guided tour of the Gawler Civic Centre will take between 45 minutes and 1 hour, or can be shortened or tailored to meet individual’s or group requirements.

Saturday December 16 – Tuesday December 19 

10.00am, 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.00pm sessions daily

Santa’s Workshop

Proudly presented by the Town of Gawler, this FREE family Christmas experience is not to be missed. 

Each session will contain an abundance of Christmas activities, magic, fun, and of course, meet and take your photos with Santa!

Nitro Nat's Phantastic Physics Show

The Phantastic Physics Show is a journey of discovering what makes things move. 

We explore energy and forces with Phantastic science demonstrations that you don’t get to see every day! This is a show for any age, small kids to big kids.

Mosaic Workshops

Learn more about the Hanging by a Thread – Mosaic for Afghan Women international community mosaic project, and create your own mosaic segment similar to the Mosaic Scarf for Afghan Women to take with you – it would make a great Christmas gift (or you could keep it to enjoy yourself).

Tech Chat

Join us for a social chat with a cuppa to learn about some digital basics so you can feel safe and confident, participating in today’s digital world. 

A staff member will use Be Connected, an Australian government initiative, to help answer questions and provide further resources.  Pick up new skills or dive into a new topic! First Friday of every month.

Publishing Pathways and Pitfalls: A panel conversation

We’ll ask a panel of experts about their experience of publication. Meet local authors Suzanne Verrall and Allen Tiller as well as Kirsty van der Veer from Pantera Press as we investigate the pathways and pitfalls of getting your work published. 

Bookings required. Refreshments provided.

Skill up courses – FREE Skills Courses (14yrs +)

A range of online courses from, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Barista, Café, Cash Handling, Provide Quality Customer Service, Job Search and Interview Skills, Problem Solving and Decision Making.

Open to all Town of Gawler Residents (who either Live, work, play a sport or attend a school in Gawler).

The exhibition tells the story of the coming of the Post Office, the telegraph and finally the telephone exchange to Gawler. 

Understand how emerging technologies and transports, were critical in keeping the community connected to the wider world.
