WORDS AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY

PETE THORNTON

A ‘mostly’ portrait and ‘brief’ interview series by professional photographer Pete Thornton exploring the idea that one image has the power to tell the whole story.

Each ‘sitter’ suggests the next person to be photographed in this series, and thus ensues an interesting and unknown trail of Barossa identities to come.

Stay tuned… Pete.

Paula Baker, Uniting Kids!

A little soul searching around her next career choices, work life ideals and the question of ‘what’s next’ has led Paula Baker to her happy place! A toy shop!

With a passion for kids, a sensitivity for their needs and a desire to offer just that something extra in the toys they play with, Paula has thrown herself head long into ‘Kids Unite’.

It’s a shopping space where kids are welcomed and encouraged to play, touch and learn. The toys are sensory, touchable, challenging, thought provoking, imagination forming, educational and simply FUN.

Paula is part Educator, part Occupational Therapist, part Carer and wholly passionate and excited about her offering to families. Kids Unite is a refreshing place to be in – underpinned with a great philosophy and clearly hitting the mark with the kids of the Barossa.

See the Barossa Unearthed series so far…
